In the early hours of July 2, 2023, the community of Flint, Michigan, was shaken by the tragic death of 27-year-old Monecia La'Tanzane Hunter, a Black/African American woman who was fatally shot in her home. Born on New Year's Eve in 1995, Monecia was known to her loved ones as a gentle spirit with a heart of gold.
