On New Year's Day in 2018, 10-year-old Jacques Ja'mon Allen, a Black male, was inside his grandmother's home on Granville Avenue in Flint, Michigan. As he and his grandmother were in the kitchen around 10 p.m., the house was sprayed with bullets in what is believed to have been a drive-by shooting. Jacques was struck by one of the bullets as his grandmother watched in horror. He was rushed to Hurley Medical Center, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries the following day, January 2, 2018. ...
