In the winter of 2018, a grandmother's life was tragically cut short in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On January 17th, 46-year-old Germaine Brown was found fatally shot inside her home in the Garfield Park neighborhood. She was not the only victim of this violent act; her 2-year-old grandson, King Talbert, was also killed in the shooting.
