In the winter of 2018, a grandmother's life was tragically cut short in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On January 17th, 46-year-old Germaine Brown was found fatally shot inside her home in the Garfield Park neighborhood. She was not the only victim of this violent act; her 2-year-old grandson, King Talbert, was also killed in the shooting. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene, while her grandson was rushed to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The community was left in shock and ...
