In the early hours of a cold Saturday in Milwaukee, on January 27, 2024, the life of 29-year-old Davarein Kirskey, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. Gunfire erupted shortly after midnight, around 12:28 a.m., in the vicinity of 75th and Marine. First responders arrived at the scene to find Kirskey with life-threatening injuries.
He was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically, he was pronounced deceased.
The sudden and violent death of Kirskey, a father of five, sent shockwaves through his family and the community. His loved ones were left heartbroken and searching for answers, struggling to comprehend who would have targeted him and why. Family members described him as a loving big brother, creating a portrait of a man whose absence would be deeply felt. They indicated that he did not live far from where the shooting occurred, adding to the mystery of the attack.

His family continues to hope for justice, wishing that whoever was responsible would come forward.
