Waverly Road when multiple gunshots suddenly rang out. In the ensuing chaos, he was struck by the gunfire. Despite any efforts to save him, Williams succumbed to his injuries that day, a victim of a fatal shooting.
Born on June 19, 1996, in Lansing, Shaquin was a beloved son, brother, and friend.
He was known for his loving and caring nature, particularly his devotion to his mother. A graduate of Lansing Eastern High School, he was employed by StayDry Basement Waterproofing. His family remembers his love for cars and trucks, especially if they were all white, and his fun-loving personality. He cherished the time he spent joking around with his family and friends.
The Lansing Police Department immediately began an investigation into the homicide. However, the case grew cold over time. To date, the authorities have not publicly identified any suspect or suspects in the shooting death of Shaquin Dawayne Williams. Consequently, no arrests have been made, and no one has been charged or brought to trial for his murder.
