In the winter of 2020, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the lives of two people were tragically cut short in a violent encounter that would later unfold a complex story of family, betrayal, and a quest for justice. On December 28, 33-year-old Katoya McPherson and her 36-year-old boyfriend, Floyd Brashers, were found deceased in their Oak Tree apartment.
