In the evening hours of March 21, 2021, the life of Kenyon Omar Powell, a 33-year-old Black male from Flint, Michigan, was tragically cut short. Powell was discovered in the parking lot of Waleed's Fish and Chicken Market on Pierson Road with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services rushed him to Hurley Medical Center, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The incident, which took place around 9:12 p.m., was reported to have involved a rifle.
