In the summer of 2021, a street party in Battle Creek, Michigan, turned into a scene of tragedy, claiming the life of 24-year-old Eniyah M. Hollins. On June 27th, Hollins was fatally wounded by gunfire in an incident that authorities believe was not intended for her. The young woman's death prompted an investigation that would see a suspect arrested, face a rollercoaster of legal proceedings, and ultimately accept responsibility for a lesser charge.
