Death by Force

On December 16, 2023, 22-year-old Veronica Jean Cica and her 44-year-old father, Steven Douglas Cica, were fatally shot in their home on Algonquin Street in Battle Creek, Michigan. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. when Veronica's former partner, 22-year-old Todd Edward Bolden Jr., allegedly broke into the residence and opened fire. Veronica was pronounced dead at the scene, while Steven was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
