In a tragic turn of events on a cold December evening, 22-year-old Veronica Jean Cica was killed in her Battle Creek, Michigan, home. On December 16, 2023, the young mother was fatally shot, an event that also claimed the life of her father, 44-year-old Steven Douglas Cica. The incident unfolded around 6 p.m. on Algonquin Street when Veronica's former partner, 22-year-old Todd Edward Bolden Jr., allegedly forced his way into the residence and opened fire.
