Diamond King, a 23-year-old resident of Battle Creek, Michigan, tragically lost her life on June 16, 2020. She was attending an outdoor gathering near 158 W. Rittenhouse Ave. to commemorate the 24th birthday of Elijah Williams, who had been shot and killed in October 2019. The event, which drew a crowd of 200 to 300 people, turned deadly when shots were fired into the crowd at 12:32 a.m. Diamond King and Leon Jackson, 30, were both struck in the head and succumbed to their injuries.
