On the evening of September 30, 2021, Lawanda Lashon Drake, a 48-year-old Black/African American female from Saginaw, Michigan, was reported missing. The situation took a devastating turn the following morning when her body was discovered in her home. She had sustained fatal gunshot wounds, and her death was ruled a homicide.
