On the evening of October 18, 2021, a devastating act of violence cut short the lives of a young Detroit couple, leaving their infant child an orphan. Benson Linsey, a 22-year-old male, and his girlfriend, Marshae Nash, also 22, were ambushed and fatally shot while sitting in their car at a Marathon gas station on West Warren Avenue. The couple’s 9-month-old son was in the vehicle with them at the time of the attack but was miraculously unharmed.
