In the winter of 2022, the life of 42-year-old Demore Harris, a Black male from Saginaw, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On what seemed to be a routine trip to the Food Basket store on Remington Street, Harris told his children he would be back, but he never returned home. Concern grew, and on February 19, 2022, his family officially reported him as a missing person to the Michigan State Police.
