In the early morning hours of October 9, 2022, a tragedy unfolded on the streets of Detroit that claimed three lives. Teosha Williams-Turner, a 30-year-old Black woman, was discovered unresponsive near an SUV at the intersection of Wadsworth and Meyers. She had been fatally shot. The violence of that night did not end with her death; Williams-Turner was seven months pregnant, and despite efforts to save her, her unborn baby girl did not survive.
