In the early hours of May 24, 2020, a tragic event unfolded on the east side of Detroit that claimed the life of 29-year-old Jamekia Fulton. The young woman was a passenger in a car being driven by her brother when gunfire erupted near Blackmoor Street and Eastwood Avenue. Jamekia, who was seated in the back, was struck by the bullets.
