On Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025, a tragic event unfolded on Detroit's west side, resulting in the death of 21-year-old LaTriece Galloway. An African American woman, Galloway was fatally shot inside a residence on Coyle Street, near Fenkell Avenue, in what authorities believe was a dispute that escalated to violence. The incident, which occurred at approximately 12:32 a.m., also claimed the life of 40-year-old Edward Clark, a close friend of Galloway.
