Trooper Billy M. Langham, a dedicated officer with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, tragically lost his life on December 31, 1981, at the age of 37. He was killed in the line of duty after stopping a speeding motorist on Highway 49 near Collins, Mississippi. The vehicle he stopped was occupied by four male subjects.
