Patrolwoman Alma B. Walters, aged 29, tragically lost her life on December 28, 1985, in Meridian, Mississippi. Officer Walters was responding to a domestic disturbance call at 1:30 am at 3008 Railroad Street when she was attacked by an intoxicated man. The assailant knocked her to the ground, seized her gun, and dragged her into the house.
