On the evening of January 13, 1999, a young man's life was tragically cut short in Gulfport, Mississippi. Kevin Slater, a 24-year-old Black male, was discovered shot to death while sitting in his car. The incident occurred around 9:29 PM at the intersection of Tandy Drive and Cora Circle. At the time of his death, Slater was on his way to his job at the Imperial Palace in Biloxi.
