Death by Force

Leonard Parker Jr., a 53-year-old man from Covington, Georgia, was fatally shot on February 1, 2020, in Gulfport, Mississippi. The incident occurred early in the morning when Gulfport police responded to a domestic disturbance call on 25th Street. As officers approached the scene, Parker attempted to flee in his vehicle and drove towards one of the officers. This prompted the officer to fire his weapon, striking Parker once. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene.
