In the summer of 2003, a tragedy unfolded in Meridian, Mississippi, that cut short the life of 57-year-old Thomas Willis. On July 8th, Willis was at his workplace, the Lockheed Martin plant, when a fellow employee named Douglas Williams opened fire on his colleagues. The violent rampage resulted in the deaths of six people, including Willis.
