Thomas Willis, aged 57, tragically lost his life on July 8, 2003, during a mass shooting at the Lockheed Martin plant in Meridian, Mississippi. The perpetrator, Douglas Williams, was a long-time employee at the plant who harbored extreme racial hatred towards his African-American co-workers.
