Thomas Drumane Catchings, a 41-year-old patrolman with the Jackson Police Department, tragically lost his life on March 17, 2005, in Jackson, Mississippi. On that fateful day, Patrolman Catchings was returning home after completing a motorcycle training course when he was flagged down by a citizen who had just been carjacked at the intersection of Robinson Road and Pecan Park Circle.
