Edward Evans Jr., a 15-year-old from Jackson, Mississippi, was tragically found dead on July 8, 2012. His decomposing body was discovered behind an abandoned house at 1604 Barrett Avenue, near his grandmother's home. The Hinds County Coroner, Sharon Grisham Stewart, confirmed his identity through dental records due to the advanced state of decomposition. It was determined that Evans had been shot in the face, and his body had likely been there for at least two weeks.
