Shagery Jones, a 22-year-old resident of Jackson, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on November 27, 2014, following a violent altercation. The incident occurred in the Presidential Hills subdivision of west Jackson around 10:30 a.m. Jones was shot in the neck during a dispute over a broken mailbox. Despite being rushed to surgery, he succumbed to his injuries.
