In the winter of 2014, the life of 26-year-old James Brian McAlister was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On January 23, McAlister was fatally shot in an act of violence that authorities would later suggest was motivated by robbery. For years, the case remained without a resolution, leaving a painful void for those who knew him.
