On February 13, 2014, 21-year-old Guy Durand Loper of Decatur, Mississippi, tragically lost his life to gun violence in his hometown. Born on March 22, 1992, Guy was a beloved member of the Decatur community. He is survived by his wife, Michaela Loper; his parents, Guy and Angela Loper; his paternal grandparents, Gene and Joan Loper; his maternal grandmother, Martha VanEtten; and his three sisters, Gabrielle, Kirsten, and Hayley Loper.
