On August 4, 2023, 58-year-old David Wild was found deceased inside his gray 2019 Honda CR-V on Bolton-Brownsville Road near Live Oak Road in Bolton, Mississippi. Hinds County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene around 7:15 a.m. and discovered that Wild had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Authorities estimated that he had been deceased for several days prior to the discovery.
