On a summer day in Bolton, Mississippi, a grim discovery was made on August 4, 2023. Fifty-eight-year-old David Wild, a white male, was found deceased inside his gray 2019 Honda CR-V on a stretch of Bolton-Brownsville Road near Live Oak Road. Responding to the scene at approximately 7:15 a.m., Hinds County Sheriff's deputies determined that Wild had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Investigators estimated that he had been deceased for several days before his body was discovered.
