Dustin Carr, 31, a Black man from Tylertown, Mississippi, was shot and killed in the early hours of Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Deputies and investigators rushed to St. Paul Road after a 911 call around 2:24 a.m. and found Carr lying on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
