In the spring of 2014, the life of 19-year-old Jabari Day was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in Jackson, Mississippi. On the evening of May 20, Day was at a local playground, enjoying a game of basketball, when a drive-by shooting occurred. The community was left in shock and mourning over the loss of the young man, who was remembered by loved ones as a loving father and son.
