In the fall of 2014, the life of 16-year-old Jamal Haralson was tragically cut short by gun violence in Jackson, Mississippi. On the evening of Friday, October 3, 2014, Haralson was fatally shot, leaving his family and community in mourning. In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the Jackson Police Department began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the young man's death.
