In the early hours of a Friday morning in Brookhaven, Mississippi, a violent altercation shattered the peace of a family home, leaving a father and one of his children dead. On March 13, 2015, 31-year-old Jermaine Sims and his family were attacked in their residence, an event that would end in tragedy and profound loss.
