Christopher M. Walton, aged 30, was killed on June 1, 2010, in Chicago, Illinois. In 2010, Chicago faced persistent issues related to gang activity and systemic social challenges. Despite efforts by community organizations and police to curb the violence, neighborhoods plagued by economic struggles and long-standing tensions continued to see high numbers of fatal incidents like Walton's.
