Deanthony Jones, a 23-year-old resident of Columbus, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on June 7, 2016. The incident occurred at the Sandfield One Stop convenience store on Main Street, where Jones was shot following an altercation. The Columbus Police Department responded to a call about the shooting at approximately 10:51 p.m. Jones was subsequently transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, where he was pronounced dead at 1:18 a.m. on June 8, 2016.
