In the summer of 2016, the community of Amory, Mississippi, was shaken by the death of Danny J. Spreitler, a 55-year-old male resident. Spreitler was a prominent figure in the town, known for his business ventures and community involvement. He was discovered deceased on the morning of Tuesday, July 5, 2016, inside a downtown Amory coffee shop that he owned. Authorities reported that he had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
