On the night of January 28, 2017, in the Wesley Chapel Road area of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, a call to the Copiah County Sheriff's Office reported a man lying on the ground as another individual fled the scene. The man on the ground was identified as 27-year-old Antwuan Brown. He had sustained severe injuries and was later pronounced dead on January 29, 2017.
