In the quiet Crown Hill subdivision of Gulfport, Mississippi, the night of March 20, 2017, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When Harrison County Sheriff's deputies arrived around 11:30 p.m., they found the body of 17-year-old Tyjuan Johnson in a driveway on Hopewell Lane. The young man had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and one of seven children.
