In the summer of 2017, a tragedy struck a Jackson, Mississippi home that resulted in the death of a young boy. On the morning of July 1, 2017, 5-year-old Jayden Pempleton died from what was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident occurred at his residence on Cromwell Street around 10:55 a.m.
