In the summer of 2017, the life of 36-year-old Priscilla Carter was tragically cut short in Tupelo, Mississippi. On the last day of July, Carter was found deceased inside a Westwood apartment, having been fatally shot. The Lee County Coroner swiftly declared her death a criminal act, launching a homicide investigation into the untimely passing of the mother of a 14-year-old daughter.
