Virgil Maury, aged 56, and his wife Oleta Maury, aged 53, were found dead in their home on Maxwell Drive in Glendale, a community near Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on March 7, 2018. The discovery was made after a call was received by the Forrest County Sheriff's Department around 2 p.m. that day. Both victims had sustained gunshot wounds, and their bodies were sent to the state crime lab in Jackson for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
