William Deshun Myers, a 42-year-old resident of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was tragically shot and killed on February 6, 2019. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Avenue just before 2 p.m. Myers was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room. The Forrest County Coroner, Butch Benedict, confirmed his identity and stated that his body was sent to the state crime lab in Jackson for an autopsy.
