In a quiet community near Hattiesburg, Mississippi, a grim discovery was made on March 7, 2018. Oleta Maury, a 53-year-old female, was found deceased in her home on Maxwell Drive in the Glendale area. Alongside her was her husband, 56-year-old Virgil Maury, who was also deceased. The Forrest County Sheriff's Department was alerted to the scene after receiving a call around 2 p.m. that day.
Upon their arrival, authorities found that both Oleta and Virgil Maury had sustained gunshot wounds. Their bodies were subsequently sent to the state crime lab in Jackson for autopsies to officially determine the cause of death.
