Faye Jean Cornett, a 37-year-old resident of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, tragically lost her life on April 24, 2021. Cornett was found shot to death at her residence on Oak Grove Road in Lamar County. The incident occurred around 8 a.m., and it was reported that she was shot by her boyfriend, Derek Crockrum. Following the shooting, Crockrum allegedly kidnapped Cornett's 15-year-old daughter and drove around the area until he fell asleep in his truck.
