Jazken Green, a 26-year-old Black man from Verona, Mississippi, was fatally shot on March 22, 2018, at a car wash in his hometown. He succumbed to his injuries the following day, on March 23, 2018, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. The investigation into Green's death quickly centered on Latavious Betts as the primary suspect. Another man, 27-year-old Jarnavis Chandler, was also sought by Verona Police and the U.S. Marshals in connection with the fatal shooting and was considere ...
