In the spring of 2018, a conversation between two men outside a home in Jackson, Mississippi, took a fatal turn, ending the life of 30-year-old Courtney Butler. On Saturday, March 31, 2018, shots rang out, and Butler was struck multiple times. He was privately transported to a local hospital where he underwent emergency surgery but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
