Death by Force

Rodrick Johnson, a 14-year-old middle school student from Jackson, Mississippi, was tragically shot and killed on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. The incident occurred over a dispute involving a bicycle. Rodrick was described by his teacher as a funny and smart student with an "infectious" personality. He was a student at Powell Middle School and was involved in an educational and empowerment mentoring program for young boys of color.
