In the summer of 2019, the life of 33-year-old Latoya Tavelle Thompson Robinson was brought to a tragic and abrupt end in the small town of Potts Camp, Mississippi. On July 16th, while at her job as a receptionist at the Williams Medical Clinic, a place of healing became a scene of violence. Her husband, identified as a candidate for the Mississippi House of Representatives, entered the clinic and fatally shot her before turning the gun on himself in a devastating murder-suicide.
