In the late summer of 2019 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the life of 26-year-old Corey Chatman was tragically cut short. On the evening of August 13th, Chatman was fatally wounded by gunfire. The violence of that day not only ended a young life but also set in motion an investigation to bring those responsible to justice.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, law enforcement began their work, and within a couple of days, their efforts led to the apprehension of two suspects.
The individuals taken into custody in connection with Corey Chatman's death were identified as Marcus Jordan and Nathaniel Dixon.
