On September 27, 2019, the community of Jackson, Mississippi, was shaken by the tragic loss of Angelina Billingsley, a 52-year-old Black/African American woman known to her friends and family as "Angie." A dedicated employee at the Mississippi State Hospital, she was remembered by loved ones for her happy demeanor and constant smile. Her life was cut short in a violent domestic incident that unfolded at a residence on Twin Oaks Drive, a neighborhood situated in the capital city.
