In what should have been the safety of his own home, George White, a 58-year-old male, met a violent and untimely end. On a Thursday in Moss Point, Mississippi, an argument escalated to a fatal confrontation, leaving White dead from two gunshot wounds to the chest. The tranquility of the Big Point Road residence was shattered by the sound of gunfire, and when authorities arrived, they found White had already succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The investigation into the tragic shooting quickly led to an arrest, not of a stranger, but of a close family member. White's father-in-law, 81-year-old Guy Radar, was taken into custody in connection with the death. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office announced that Radar was charged with second-degree murder, alleging that he was the one who fired the fatal shots during the heated dispute with his son-in-law.
In a surprising turn of events, Radar was released from the Jackson County Adult Detention Center without the need to post bond.
