In a tragic turn of events on a Monday afternoon in South Columbus, Mississippi, a young man's life was cut short. Xavier Johnson, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on April 20, 2020. The incident unfolded in the 500 block of 16th Avenue South shortly after 1 p.m., where an argument escalated to a fatal conclusion. First responders arrived to find Johnson in the street and immediately attempted life-saving measures, but their efforts were in vain. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
